I aim to be your trusted mortgage resource.

My objectives

I aim to be your trusted mortgage resource.  As a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with access to diverse residential real estate loan products, my commitment extends beyond individual transactions.  I’m here to answer your questions, explore ideas, and provide expert guidance throughout your journey.

With a focus on personalized service, transparency, and education, I strive to ensure you feel confident and informed in every decision made on your path to homeownership.

About Brandon Ross

I’m from central Iowa, graduated from the University of Iowa (2006), and moved to Arizona in October 2011.  In my early career, I was in the golf industry and briefly held Class A status with the PGA of America.  I met the proverbial fork in the road and left golf to become a licensed MLO in March 2012.  In March 2023, I joined Barrett Financial Group, L.L.C., to gain access to more loan programs, prioritized client support, and a nationally licensed network of colleagues.

In November of 2023, I turned 40, so I don’t know whether I’m young or old anymore.  I’m a father of three girls, and I love to golf, cook, and read as much as possible.  The best aspect of my workday is talking strategy with individuals or families looking to buy, sell, or refinance.  Of course, as a “solo-prenuer” I wear many hats.  Queue up this new endeavor.

I want you to know that I’m here to go as “deep in the weeds” as you would like when learning about mortgages, the lending process, offer strategy, and just about anything related to real estate.  I love to talk shop and to share the information I’ve gathered through the years.

If I can earn the spot as “your mortgage guy,” that’s just awesome.

Why Substack?  Why am I doing this?

As I mentioned, I enjoy reading, mainly non-fiction.  Books, articles, and blogs on business, finance, psychology, and self-improvement interest me.  I’m always taking recommendations, too, so feel free to share with me your must-reads!

I’ve found a couple of my favorite authors on this platform.  I think it’s an excellent place to begin organizing the information I would like to discuss with all my clients regarding obtaining a home loan.  Lastly, I like the idea of having the audio recordings available so you can listen to the content.

Let’s connect.

Whether you discovered me through a search or a referral, I’m thrilled for the opportunity to showcase what I can offer.  I’m confident in my experience, tools, and resources to help you achieve your real estate goals.

Although I’m trying to expand my reach through Instagram, LinkedIn, and Substack, I value the personal touch of phone calls or in-person meetings.  I’m real, accessible, and genuinely ready to assist in any way I can.  Don’t hesitate to reach out.

What to expect moving forward

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to read (or listen) to my first Substack post.  As we move forward, I hope you will gain a deeper understanding of who I am and whether we could be a good fit.

Expect upcoming content on mortgage lending specifics, guidelines, loan processing, and more in the days and weeks ahead.  This project has minimal framework, so let’s explore and see how things unfold together!

With gratitude,

Brandon

P.S. – If you can make an introduction to someone who may benefit from my services, it would be welcomed and greatly appreciated.
